Last Friday we attended Event In The Tent (Wooo! Niagara Grape and Wine festival!) where we had the great pleasure of witnessing Oliver Black (like a female-fronted Datsuns) and Lowest of the Low (Ron Hawkins I heart you) before passing on The Trews (in favour of drinks and dancin' at Red Square). Good times.

Saturday I was sick so I went home to see the parental units and spend the whole glorious day in bed reading and becoming obsessed with America's next Top Model. Fuck off. I'm still awesome

And yesterday I was in Nerd Heaven at Word on the Street (which fuckin ruled) before putting the Manc back on a plane home to merry ol Engerland... And before I crawled into bed last night I was whisked off to see Shaun of the Dead which is totally BRILLIANT! I think it's the best movie I've seen all year - it's got everything you could ever want (including Morrissey)!

Sadly, I don't think I'm gonna be able to make it to Bloc Party's show at Revival tonight. My girlish dreams of making out with Simon White have been crushed.

"We are trying to recreate Robbie Williams ’ Knebworth gig, only indoors, and without the helicopter, and without Robbie Williams . We will attempt to recreate some of the electrical atmosphere RW created with such tracks as ‘Angels’ and ‘Let Me Entertain You’ and that other song that he did.
