happy new year

  • Happy New Year everybody!
  • There's not much in the news these days...
  • My Mom directed me to this cool article about Canadian music making it big in 2005 ... "The secret is that hipsters are Canadian. Shhhh, don't tell anybody."
  • Fans of UK indie music might be sad to hear The Special Needs have split. I really liked their single "Francesca".
  • Kate Moss has a new (20 year old!) boyfriend. One would imagine Pete Doherty's not taking it too well.
  • Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell are hanging out again!
  • The Canadian rip-off of The O.C., "Falcon Beach", begins airing this week. I won't be watching.
  • BBC has "100 things we didn't know this time last year ".

    I'm gutted about the Needs splitting... I thought they were really great... the funny thing is that they split up a few weeks ago and the NME just got it now.

    Funny how the tabloids say Peter went on a bender when he actually spent NYE at his flat with about 40-50 fans, one of which is a friend of mine. That night was...interestng to say the least.

    And Zac himself announced his band's split a couple weeks ago. Good job NME.
