He's not actually in the band, silly. He just endorses the music as he likes it alot.

“September, Cincinnati Music Hall, Ohio. I’m playing our first 3 recordings to Jack and Meg. They’re just about to go on stage, but I'm the one who's frightened. They knew nothing about what we were doing. I didn’t want to try and explain the idea, I just wanted to play them the music. So we had to make some. If necessary I wanted to ask forgiveness, not permission. When Jack hears Aluminum, he jumps up and starts shouting. Meg is quiet and demure, as ever, but then I realize that she’s saying, softly, “this is amazing”. Then the song Aluminum segues into I’m Bound To Pack It Up, and I don’t want to look too hard, but I get the feeling that Jack is getting emotional, and Meg wants me to see. It’s an amazing moment, Jack says that the music is beautiful, and that he’s flattered, and that it’s an honour. I mention that now he’s endorsed the project I’m tempted to move to a bigger studio, and he says no, stay within the existing parameters, “it’s working”.”

i wasn't commenting on his musical talents. he is rarely mentioned in the news for his music. rather, he is always mentioned for his drug use, girlfriend, rehab, etc.

what has been mentioned about him in the last six months other than: pete enters rehab, pete arrested for drug use, pete and kate break-up, pete and kate back together, pete enters rehab.

but, thanks for the condescending tone.
