nothing beats a $4 weekend

  • Keith Richards had brain surgury this morning. Consequently, the Rolling Stones European tour has been postponed.
  • The Toronto Sun's review of The Strokes show in Toronto this weekend. Julian is King of the F-Bombs.
  • Damon Albarn wants Liam Gallagher on the next Gorillaz album.
  • I don't like to support Canada haters but... Here's Morrissey's new video for "The Youngest Was The Most Loved".
  • Pitchfork interviews the lovely Feist.
  • Pete Doherty sold his phone (with text messages from Kate Moss) to a fan for quick cash for a fix.
  • Primal Scream frontman Bobby Gillespie is frustrated his outspoken political views will never have any serious impact on the government. It's hard to take anyone with a junkie past seriously.
  • I want to start posting MP3s again. Can anyone recommend a good place to host them?

    what he said. i use it and its great, except they have issues sometimes where they'll be down for hours at a time. but aside from that, definitely the most inexpensive host ive found. $5.95 a year for 100mb.

    hey i love your blog- it's a great source of all things music and gossip! I do however disagree with your comment about bobby gillespie, if you mean that people with junkie pasts shouldn't be taken seriously... although, if you just meant that they often aren't taken seriously, then i agree, and it seems a bit unfair, as i don't really see why their views should be any less valid than anyone else's...right?

    anyway, keep up the good work!

    Anonymous - You're absolutely right in that I phrased my comment on Bobby Gillespie wrong. I meant that its pretty common that people with junkie pasts are not taken seriously. That's why so many people go to great lengths to keep their addictions hidden.
